Movies vs. Talkies…

…this is essentially what triggers the plot in The Artist.

But that is just the surface of it. The real beauty of this film is that for the first time in quite a while you actually WATCH the screen, just like you did when you were a kid and your unquenchable thirst for information would literally glue your eyes to the moving images.

The acting is perfect, the cinematography is memorable and the feeling that Hollywood still has the power to create something original and beautiful is rekindled. In short – if you ever loved movies, this one will remind you why:
