If snowflakes had a soundtrack

Ever walked the streets at night and listened to the raindrops that hit the ground and all that rests on it? Did you notice  the discrete music made by the rain as it embraces the urban surroundings?

But as the season of the rain has now become the time of snow and the gentle tapping of the drops as they gather into puddles has been replaced by the silence of the snowfall, it feels as if we went back in time into the age of silent movies. No longer do we have that gentle watery  beat to rely on but since the visuals are now ever more powerful, I wonder if snowflakes hitting the ground would sound anything like this:
